PAIN POINT
Sno’s Up is a snow cone company based out of Las Vegas, NV. The founder had a vision of fusing the worlds of hip hop culture with a timeless, fun treat, the snow cone. Having a background in helping brands in the streetwear industry, he wanted to bring the aesthetics and business approach of staple streetwear brands such as Stussy to what he’s building.
We were approached with helping him create a visual language that was relatable to the customers he wants to attract. Having extensive experience in streetware and music ourselves, we knew the brand identity had be be youthful. It had to have personality. And it has to appeal to young consumers, yet position it for growth, especially as its young customers become older, more mature customers. We wanted to create an identity that inspired a community and galvanized people around.
SOLUTION
We created an identity system to reflect he business. We used a variety of colors as symbol of the variety of flavor Sno’d Up uses. We were subtle, yet obvious, in our references to hip hop and streetwear culture form the language we used in product descriptions, to the images we chose to look like the consumer, to the sparkle designs that represent the fascination with jewelry often displayed in the culture.
When it came to the product’s packaging design, we wanted to create items that felt like collectors items. Like when you walk into a high end streetwear or sneaker store and see the inventory meticulously displayed, enticing a purchase. Sno’d up products had to be respected in the same vein – which is a total rebellion against traditional snow cone offerings. We also had to think beyond the customer’s dining experience. We wanted to create touch points that engaged the customer in ways you can only get from streetwear and hiphop culture. From merch, to experience ideas we thought through and executed on disruptive ideas.
RESULTS
Since our engagement, Sno’d Up hit the ground running. They have build a solid customer base and has been making a name for themselves around the Las Vegas area. The next step in their journey in opening a brick and mortar.
