.002 Our Process
The branding process demands a combination of investigation, strategic thinking, design excellence, and project management skills. It requires an extraordinary amount of patience, an obsession with getting it right, and an ability to synthesize vast mounts of information.
The process we will engage in will be in-depth, conversational, and collaborative. The goal is to set your business up for long-term success even in the midst of transition and societal or business changes.
Our work process is sumarized in four destinct phases. First, nothing we do is done without etablishing a foundation for every action. We spend a signifcant amount of time strategizing and planning to ensure goals are set and met, and everyone has a clear understanding of what is to be accomplished and how. After the planning is set, we move to design. Any deliverables creat- ed are in direct alignment with the intial strategy. Once solid deliverables are met, we move to gaining an undersatnding how to bring them to life. We explore every medium and outlet to maximze their existence. The final step is the activation. After we strat- egize, design, and develop we move to putting everything into action. Every move made is tactical and intentional, with specific results needing to be had as a measure for success.
Our work process is simple, yet effective. We cut out all unnecessary actions and solely focus on things that will help us produce quality results. Our process is very personal, engaging, and insightful. We’ve learned that in order to achive maximum success the entire journey must be a collaborative effort. Ideas must be shared and feedback must be heard from all parties involved. By the end of the project there should be a renewed excitement and confidence of what’s possible and a job well done.

.003 Deliverables
This section goes into detail of every deliverable to be met during the project. Each action is based on previous conversations to suit the immediate needs of the business.
Following our introductory conversation, JC’s Philly Cheesesteak has a significant opportunity to drive business growth by establishing a robust digital and social media presence—something the brand currently lacks. With future franchising plans in mind, this is an ideal time to reintroduce the brand to its existing customer base and make a memorable first impression on new customers. A brand refresh that clearly and compellingly communicates the brand’s value and story—both visually and audibly—will position it for long-term success and maximize its impact.
Our aim is to craft a brand that not only stands out visually but also strategically connects with the community, attracts investors, and differentiates itself from competitors. Additionally, we want to create a flexible brand identity that opens doors for growth and new ways to engage with people.
To address these goals, I propose the following deliverables. This will be a collaborative, insightful, and discovery-driven process, designed to challenge preconceived ideas and unlock new possibilities. Our approach will center on strategy, innovation, and personalized storytelling to help you achieve maximum impact and business growth.
This process requires patience, diligence, and a commitment from everyone involved to prioritize what’s best for the project’s success. If you’re ready, let’s embark on this exciting journey together!
Strategy Phase
Per our conversation, the business needs to re-establish its foundation to support growth, profitability, and maximum exposure. In this phase, we will develop a comprehensive plan of action to define and shape the core elements of the brand, including its target audience, value proposition, tone of voice, and customer experience.
1.0 Personal Analysis
The first step is gaining an understanding as to why you are doing what you are doing. This allows us to get down to the root of the project. It helps us determine what decisions need to be made to ensure the fulfillment of this is always met..
1.1 Define Brand Purpose
In this step we will explore the brand’s reason for existing. We will clearly define the purpose and mission of the brand. We will identify what relevant problems the brand can offer solutions for and what value the brand offers to the customer.
1.2 Identify Target Audience
In this step we will identify the customer that will benefit most from the brands services and offerings. We will define the characteristics, demographics, and psychographics of the brand’s ideal customers. We will create detailed buyer personas that consider their needs, pain points, and aspirations.
1.3 Competitive Audit
In this step we will research the brand’s competitors and identify gaps, or opportunities in the market. We will identify what sets the brand apart from others in the industry.
1.4 Define Value Proposition
in this step we will identify the unique features and benefits of your products and services. We will highlight what makes your offering different and better than alternatives in the market.
1.5 Define Brand Personality
In this step we will define the personality and communication style of the brand. Is it friendly, professional, jovial, or serious? We will establish a tone of voice by identifying a list of objectives that describe what the brand wants to portray.
1.6 Define Customer Experience
In this phase we will map out the customer journey from the first interaction to post-purchase. We will identify touchpoint and opportunities to create a positive experience. We will define what emotions or feelings you want customers to associate wit the brand.
1.7 Establish Brand Statement | Feedback
In the final step we will tie everything together and establish a brand statement. This allows for you to easily define and articulate what the brand is in any interaction with clear understanding. This is where we will do any refinements and receive feedback.
Branding Phase
Per our conversation, the business could benefit from a proper visual identity refresh. To properly present the brand as a competitor in this space we need to create a visual presence that reflects the brand’s mission, values, and personality.
1.0 Stylescapes
The first step is creating a series of stylescapes. Stylescapes, similar to mood boards, give us an idea of the overall design aesthetic, mood, and tone of the brand’s visual identity language. Stylescapes collage coherent ideas and concepts into one document based on the information from the discovery session and act as a guide for all design decisions moving forward in the design process.
1.1 Logo Design
Once we establish a direction for design we will begin crafting a logo for the brand. We will work in three phases. Phase one is the initial sketch, or rough idea. After we choose a concept that makes sense for the brand we will refine that concept. The last phase is finalizing the concept to become the logo mark that will represent the brand.
1.2 Color + Font System
Once we create the logo we will build a color system and font system that visually separates the brand’s communication from others. We’ll examine the way color will function and how it can use it to evoke emotion and express the brand’s personality. We’ll also explore how to best use color and type across real and digital applications.
1.3 Activations
In this phase we will create a series of trial applications to bring all ideas to life. We want to test the viability of concepts across a variety of applications to see the identity the way customers will see it.
1.4 Style Guidelines
To wrap up the design phase we will produce a style guide which acts as a brand bible. This document will serve as an “all things to know” about the brand, its ideas and philosophies, and its visual language. The guide will give examples of how to appropriately activate the brand identity in any setting and across any medium.
Website Design / Social Media Strategy Phase
Per our conversation, the business needs a well-designed website to serve as a central hub for all things JC’s Philly Cheesesteaks and to support expanded operations through an integrated ordering platform. Additionally, we will develop a comprehensive social media strategy to define the best approach for the business, including identifying the necessary assets for both the website and social media networks. Together, we’ll determine which social media platforms will maximize the brand’s exposure and help establish meaningful connections with its customers.
1.0 Foundational Website Design
We will create a foundational responsive website optimized for both desktop and mobile users. This website will serve as a central hub for the brand, incorporating key elements such as the brand story, menu layout, links to social platforms, an integrated ordering platform, employment inquiry forms, a restaurant locator (for future locations), and business contact information. The design will align seamlessly with the brand’s visual identity to ensure a cohesive and engaging brand experience. We will also ensure the website is SEO friendly to land at the top of internet search feeds for its respected product category.
1.1 Social Media Strategy
We will develop a strategy to maximize the brand's social media presence and strengthen connections with its customers. This will include identifying the social media platforms best suited for the business to ensure its success. Additionally, we will create content that effectively showcases the brand’s offerings and communicates its story in a compelling way.
